Life as a Farm Wife
Welcome to the ramblings of my mind and the passions of my heart. Who am I? I am a child of God, a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a teacher and a constant learner... often the hard way.

August... come and gone...

WOW! I can't hardly believe that summer is all but done and TOMORROW I am back to work in the classroom. Crazy. Am I ready to be back teaching? We'll see. :)

I realize that I have posted nothing on here for the past month, but it's not for lack of activity in our household. In fact, the past month has been quite eventful and I'll fill y'all in on some of it now, and for more... you'll have to stay posted. :)

Jett still loves to read his books, although he doesn't sit still as long as he used to. It's a good thing I have most of his books memorized so I can read fast enough to keep up with how fast he flips the pages.

Jett has become an avid climber onto... pretty much anything. It's a whole new world out there... :)

When he's done, he'd DONE and he lets us know in his own special way.

This is one of the many places I found my little climber. He scared me when I turned around from preparing dinner at the counter and met him eye to eye!

In our 100 year old house, we have no bathtub. We took it out a few years ago, before Jett was in the picture. Oops. Now he has to shower with us, but the boy loves water so it's just not the same. This was a fun bath time at Grandpa and Grandma Sawatzky's.
Thank you, Aunty Carrie for the strategically placed container!

It's crazy to think about the world that my little Jett will grow up in. I'm sure it won't take long until he is more techno savvy than both Mitch and I. He loves the computer. The longest you can ever get Jett to sit still is when he's watching either a video of himself, or Curious George on the computer.

At the lake, Jett has few inside play spots. So, this is his special drawer.

It was fun to have the fam come out to the lake one weekend. It's great to have a larger selection of   Jett-followers. :)

Jetty can get Grandpa to follow him almost anywhere.

When Mitch went to refill our drinking water, Jett was rather concerned. He stood at this gate and peeked through, waiting for daddy to get back.

And now, of course you expect me to post a video, right? Well, I'd hate to disappoint. This little flick is of Jett on the smallest water slide at the Martensville pool. He LOVES it... He loves to do it HIMSELF. My little independent 16-month old never ceases to amaze me. He must have climbed up and then slid down that slide at least 2 dozen times. He also got attention from some older girls...

Stay tuned for more updates on the Schultz Family!...
