Life as a Farm Wife
Welcome to the ramblings of my mind and the passions of my heart. Who am I? I am a child of God, a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a teacher and a constant learner... often the hard way.

A Last Look at 2011...

Okay, so I've been a terrible blogger for the past month and a half! I could blame it on a lack of energy due to pregnancy and having an exceptionally active toddler, or on the nasty cold that turned into a sinus infection, or a busy teaching load (who am I kidding, I teach half time!). I guess I've just been lazy.

In the meantime... (pics AND videos)

This little cutie-pie has occupied most of my time. He is so full of joy, he fills my days with much laughter, fun and yes, sometimes some frustration!

Our conversation is getting better every day!....

During the short period of time that we had nice snow on the ground, we made the most of the moment and helped Jett make his first snowman!

I have a little "helper" who LOVES emptying the dishwasher. His methods are a little rough, but he gets the job done.

Finally, Mitch had a hockey game that wasn't at 10:45pm, so J and I went to cheer him on. Jett loved being at the rink. He loved watching his daddy skate, and he loved climbing all over the bleachers and exploring every nook and cranny.

We got Christmas shopping done with the help of some fun toys such as this car. You might notice that J is eating a candy cane. It was his first time having such a treat and it was given to him by the Salvation Army volunteer. As he ate it, he loudly made "Mmmmmm...." noises that amused any one close enough to hear him enjoying his treat.

We have an up and coming "plank-er" on our hands! He got this great chair from his Grandpa and Grandma Schultz. He loves it. He will sit in it to watch Curious George while he casually sips out of his cup and munches on crackers.

Next year, we'll have another little munchkin in the Christmas Card! I am currently 31 weeks along and feeling the weight of it. Energy, oh energy, where for art though!

There were many 'treats' that Jetty consumed over the holidays, but I am thankful for this little guys' fine taste for fruits and berries! ...Eventually, I hope his taste for broccoli grows, too!

Jetty loved opening gifts this year. The problem was convincing him to open more gifts because each time he opened one, he'd want to play with it immediately. Here he's opening one of two "Choo-choo" sets he received. So much fun!

The "Sawatzky" Christmas festivities happened during the week after Christmas when Greg & Karmen were able to come from BC and join us. We got a few family pics to commemorate the occasion. Carrie and I are both sporting the 'bumps'!

Looking into the sun, but I still like it.

Likely one of the last family pics we will take with only the three of us! Baby #2 is scheduled to arrive in nine weeks!

Love my boys. We enjoyed a fun weekend with good friends at Redberry Bible Camp last weekend. That place brings back so many memories, it's fun to see Jett enjoy it, too!

Ollie, Jett, Olivia and Violet. ....Oh yeah, and Jane :)

Just because going feet-first would be to easy...

I am thankful for the life I am privileged to lead and I thank God for the many blessings in my life. May 2012 be as great (or greater) than 2011!

Bring it on.
